Is Your Home Holiday Ready?

Santa may be coming down the chimney this holiday season but that doesn’t mean we want septic coming up your home’s pipes! Avoid a messy situation this season and prepare ahead of time.

Ronnie’s Professional Services put together a quick checklist to get you though the holiday season (and sorry, no, they can’t help with the gift shopping!)

  • Pump your septic prior to having guests over. The last thing you want to do is have a septic emergency pop up just as you and your guests sit down to eat!
  • Properly dispose of grease. That holiday ham sure is delicious, but you should never dump the grease down the drain. It can cause damage to you system! Dump grease in a glass jar and throw it out.
  • Cut down on water usage. Try to limit the amount of water you use, for example only run the dishwasher when it is full.
  • Flush with care. An important reminder to only flush natural waste down the toilet. We get it, nobody likes fruitcake, but don’t flush it!

Typically septic pumpings should be preformed every 2-3 years, but this year with COVID-19 there is less on-the-go outside of the house, and more “go” in the home. Consider booking a pumping with Ronnie’s soon! Schedule online at pumpitoutri.com or call (401) 294-9487.
